A small study in paper

Exploring folds, edges, and a little patience.

This is a sample craft note, ready to replace with something you’ve made. It uses the same reading layout as Notes, with room for photographs, observations, and a few details worth remembering.

Begin with a material

A sheet of paper is enough to start a small experiment. Use this space to describe your material, the idea behind the work, and what you hoped to explore.

The site’s folded-paper illustration, showing a ribbon with light and shaded planes.

This illustration is already part of the site. Replace it with a photograph of your own work when you’re ready.

Keep a few process notes

  • What did you try first?
  • Which detail changed as you worked?
  • What would you do differently next time?

Leave a little unfinished

A craft note can document an experiment as easily as a finished piece. A few photographs and a useful observation can be enough.
